tejasvi dahiya hits blazing 70, seals superstarz win in thrilling encounter

In a high-octane Delhi Premier League (DPL) Season 2 match, South Delhi Superstarz staged a dramatic comeback to edge past Outer Delhi Warriors by 3 wickets in a rain-shortened 16-over contest at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Tejasvi Dahiya emerged as the hero—arriving at No. 5 with the Superstarz still over 70 runs behind and just 6 overs remaining.

In a breathtaking display, Dahiya smashed a blistering unbeaten 70 off 30 balls, including 4 fours and 6 towering sixes, finishing with a strike rate of 212. His knock turned the game on its head: needing 7 runs off the final two deliveries, he launched one six over the ropes and followed it up with another to win the game. Sumit Kumar Beniwal also contributed significantly with a quickfire 19 off 7 balls.

The Warriors had earlier posted 139 for 8 in their 16 overs, powered by Dhruv Singh’s 42 from 31 and a useful 26 off 14 from Sanat Sangwan. On the bowling front, Suyash Sharma and Anshuman Hooda picked up two wickets each, while Harsh Tyagi maintained a miserly economy (15 runs in 3 overs). Despite brief resistance from the Warriors' lower order, disciplined bowling from Superstarz—especially Aman Bharti’s tidy spell—helped stem the tide.

With this comeback win, South Delhi Superstarz keep their DPL campaign alive and showcase their resilience under pressure.
