On September 2, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Semicon India – 2025, a flagship three day semiconductor summit held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. The event, jointly organized by the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) and global industry body SEMI, aims to catalyze India’s semiconductor ecosystem through strategic dialogue and partnerships. With participation from over 20,750 attendees, including 2,500 delegates from more than 48 countries, the summit brings together 350+ exhibitors, 150+ speakers (including over 50 global leaders), and features country pavilions, roundtable discussions, workforce development zones, and startup focused areas. Scheduled sessions cover key themes advanced packaging, semiconductor fabrication, smart manufacturing, AI-driven R&D, and investment opportunities. In addition, PM Modi will participate in a high-level CEOs’ roundtable on September 3 to chart a future roadmap under India's Semicon India Programme, leveraging schemes like Production Linked Incentives (PLI) and the Design Linked Incentive (DLI) to drive innovation and manufacturing self-reliance.
