Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) begins on August 29, 2025—coinciding with India’s National Sports Day—in Visakhapatnam, returning to the city after a seven year break. The curtain raiser features a southern derby: Telugu Titans (home favourites) take on Tamil Thalaivas, followed by a clash between Bengaluru Bulls and Puneri Paltan at the Vishwanadh Sports Club. Coaches are primed for fierce competition, promising that this season will be more intense than ever. PKL is introducing exciting new elements like tie breaker shootouts and a play in stage expanding playoff qualification from six to eight teams. Ahead of this, a tribute ceremony marked legend Pardeep Narwal's retirement. The season begins a multi city tour, starting in Vizag and going on to Jaipur, Chennai, and New Delhi.
