Netflix confirms Season 3 renewal before Season 2 premieres, with production to kick off later this year.

Netflix has officially renewed its live-action adaptation of ‘One Piece’ for a third season—before the release of Season 2. The announcement came during the annual One Piece Day event in Tokyo. Filming for Season 3 will begin later this year in Cape Town, South Africa. Ian Stokes will join Joe Tracz as co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer for the new season following Matt Owens’s departure. Season 2, which follows the Straw Hats into the Grand Line, is expected to premiere in 2026.
